In addition to the lecture tracks, we have a few other interesting things going on at InfoSec Southwest that you may enjoy:

March AHA! Meeting

7pm - 9pm at Mister Tramp's

If you happen to be in town Thursday night March 29th, you're welcome to stop by our local AHA! (Austin Hackers Association) group's monthly meeting. At the meeting you'll get a taste of what is in store for the conference's AHA!-style turbo/lighting talk track as well as get to socialize early with some of the locals over drinks and food.

Saturday Night Party

The Madison on 5th

On Saturday night InfoSec Southwest, in conjunction with The Madison, Electric City Events, and our sponsors, will host the official conference party. Brought to you by the team that brought you the No More Cheap Bugs party during 2011's BlackHat and DEFCON conferences, this event will be co-located with with Electric City Event's Party Rock party so that our conference attendees get a feel for some of the regular Austin nightlife and it's not just a stuffy conference party.

A Facebook Event has been created with the party information: A Facebook Event has been created to track the party information.

Demolition Derby Capture the Flag

Our own unique take on CTF.

April Fool's Prank Contest

As our conference ends on April 1st, or "April Fool's Day", and because this notable day is widely celebrated throughout our industry and community, we thought that it would be appropriate to award a prize or two to the best April Fool's Day pranks seen this year. We will likely award two prizes, one to the best prank at the conference iteslf, and one to the best prank in the industry at large. Yes, we may have to mail the second prize to the winner. Nominations may be submitted throughout the day to aprilfools@infosecsouthwest.com and a decision will be made by our attendees during the conference closing ceremonies at 6pm on April 1st.

Crucial Security Challenge

Harris Crucial Security has prepared a challenge for the conference.

Lockpick Village

The Longhorn Lockpick Club from the University of Texas will be providing a Lockpick Village in our chill area. Come practice your locksport, mingle with other lockthusiests, and attend mini-lectures on various aspects of lockpicking.

Closing Ceremonies Raffle

During closing ceremonies we'll be raffling off a number of items graciously donated by our sponsors.
